I think people would rather break up because they don’t know about commitment and they are lazy. They don’t realize that marriage is hard work so they would rather start over and not do the same mistakes that they did before. But of course they still end up with problems and 2nd and 3rd marriages are worse.

some don’t look at marriage as a lifelong commitment. marriage is hard work & at some point you two will wind up on different pages. instead of working through the problems, some walk away. others are rightfully fed up with maybe a cheating spouse & may end a marriage.

Work on it as in “…’til death do us part?” All marriages have rough patches, but sometimes the breaches of the wedding vows are so egregiously violated, that the marriage contract is essentially void.

And sometimes the marriage is so toxic that one or both partners and/or any children involved are in physical danger. Sometimes husbands turn out to be pervs who prey on their own children. We humans are perfectly capable of some pretty horrific actions. Sometimes the right thing to do is get a divorce.

I would assume that people come here seek advices as a last resource. I am pretty sure they have already tried and tried. Until the trying has not been done yet, then of course it’s wrong to break up a marriage. Otherwise, it’s time to move on.
