I am in a long-term relationship. He actually moved in with me a few months ago. I got divorced a few months before that, and I had been seeing my boyfriend for about 8 or 9 months prior to his moving in. He was seemingly the “answer to my prayers”. When we first stated dating, well even for the first year or so, he always told me i was beautiful and that he wanted to have a family with me and get married and all that. He made me feel so special, and I guess gave me hope that I would have a great life even after a very hard divorce. It seems like I’m starting to see a different side of him though. For the last few months, he has been so moody, even going days without talking to me in my own house. It’s not like we had a fight- he will be fine one minute, then just freak out over something like I didn’t tell him I used the last of the milk. This leads to days of the silent treatment. If I try to talk to him during these periods, he basically implies I’m stupid. What gives? I love him.

What do you think about this? She’s my friend and I will support her, whatever she does, but as someone in a long term relationship I would be devasted if I thought my boyfriend was on something like that!!!! She is also married and her husband does not have a *** drive (at all). She is therefore looking for “no strings fun”. I am also worried about her safety. Surely this can’t be a safe thing to do. She is not the sort of person who I could tell what to do, Will have to think carefully how I talk to her.

I have felt the fuzzy butterflies and warm tingling feeling, and excitement with men that I’ve previously dated. I’ve had one long-term (5 years) relationship, and no longer felt the butterflies…it was as if it was just that I had become used to him, and it was ‘normal’. That is, there are always people we wish we could be getting with instead. Should we be listening to that curious side and breakup to keep exploring? Or should we stop being so greedy and selfish and just be happy with who you have?
